BEALE BLACKBIRDS RC CLUB APPLICATION

The Beale Blackbirds RC club is an AMA sanctioned model aircraft club dedicated to the sport of flying model aircrafts and helicopters. Reformed in January, 2007 to support the men and women in uniform, the Beale Blackbirds is also home to civilian modelers from the surrounding areas.

The club meets the first Thursday of every month either at the Recce Point Club on Beale AFB, or at the club flying field during summer months(see web site for directions and times). Membership in the Beale Blackbirds is open to everyone who has an interest in model aircraft. The 2012 membership fee is $25 for individuals or $35 for family membership (E-4 and below military personel are free as well as children under 12).

CIVILIAN BASE PASS PROCESS

The Beale Air Force Base Passes are issued by the Security Forces on Beale. The passes are good for one year, January 1 through December 31. During November, club members that are renewing their club membership will fill out a new club application form with their name, address, date of birth, and driver's license number. This information will be submitted to Beale Security  for a background check.

During the December club meeting, members will fill out a base pass application form. This will witnessed and signed by a club officer. The completed and signed application will then be taken by each member to the Beale Pass and ID office for processing. You will have 15 days from signing the application to go to Pass and ID. You must bring the registration and proof of insurance for the vehicle you will use for entering the base. This will be the only vehicle you can drive on base with the pass.

Pass and ID is located in building 25215, on the corner of Warren Shingle Drive and C Street. This is the building with the U2 static display aircraft in front of it. Parking is on the backside of the building. If you don't get the pass within the 15 day period, the application will be cancelled by security, and the whole process must be started again.

For new members starting mid-year, this same process applies, except a club officer must escort you onto base for the application signing and withnessing.
